Arch. Abdullah S. Alghamdi

Prof. Alghamdi holds a Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University, an M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University, an M.S. degree in Civil Engineering, University of Iowa, and a B.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering, King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia.

Prof. Alghamdi has worked as a Visiting Scholar in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, USA, 2001(summer), and was the Dean of Community Services and Continuing Education, at King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, (2002- 2006), the General Supervisor of Self-Finance Administration, KAU, Jeddah, (2006-2009) and the Director of Water Research Center, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, (2007- 2009).

Prof. Alghamdi is currently working as a Professor of Civil Engineering at KAU, the Supervisor of Shaikh Mohammad Hussain Alamoudi Chair on Water Networks Research (2008- now) and the President of Al-Rawafed for Water and Environmental Systems Engineering. He is also the Board Chairman of the Saudi Society of Civil Engineering (SSCE) (2008-2014, 2017- now) and the General Director of University Projects (2009- 2016). Then he was appointed as the University Vice President for Projects (2016- now).

Prof. Alghamdi had worked as a part-time consultant in a number of governmental and private sector agencies: Jeddah Municipality (2011), Almuhaidib Contracting Co. (2005-2006), the Ministry of Water & Electricity (2003-2004), Makkah Region Directorate, Meteorology and Environmental Protection Agency (MEPA) (2001-2002). Water and Wastewater Authority for Makkah Region (1999-2001). Groundwater Drainage Project in Makkah (1994). Groundwater Drainage Project in Jeddah (1994), Jeddah Municipality, (1994-1996).

Prof. Alghamdi has participated in more than 20 studies and researches in water resources engineering and related areas for governmental and private sectors and published around 40 research reports and research papers in international journals and conferences.

Yaser Ezzeddin is the Managing Director of IDEX Services. Yaser is responsible for running, developing and managing the company's different activitiel6s. Prior to joining IDEX Services, he  worked in different managing positions at several companies, his previous position was the Executive Manager at Integrated Telecom Technologies – iTelecom for three years, his position objectives  is to establish a company to deliver different services for telecom operators in Saudi Arabia. His success in this mission is well known and recognized by  iTelecom's ownersand shareholders till this date.  He graduated from Jordan in 1992 in computer programming and system analyses field since the time of his graduation his interests were to explore new technologies and challenges including networking, telecommunications, integrated services and parking industries.

Amir Sedadi

CIO, IPS Group

Amir Sedadi serves as Chief Innovation Officer for IPS Group. As CIO, Amir is tasked with driving, developing and managing innovative and intelligent parking solutions with a strategic focus on Smart Cities both in the US and internationally.

After retiring from the City of Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) in 2012, Amir joined IPS Group, bringing over 25 years of transportation management, engineering, policy and legislative experience with expertise in the areas of intelligent parking management operations & policies, transportation planning, budget, and administration. As the LADOT Assistant General Manager, Amir provided comprehensive oversight of LADOT’s parking operations (to include on- and off-street parking and permit parking) enforcement, taxi operations, car sharing program and planning and development. At the request of Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa, Amir also served as the Department of Transportation Interim General Manager, managing over 1,800 employees and a total budget of approximately $500 million.

Amir’s vision and leadership was crucial to the modernization of the Los Angeles parking program. Through the introduction of Smart Parking technology, the City nearly doubled its annual parking revenue through a multi-faceted Smart Cities approach utilizing state-of-the-art technology, adjusting policies, and overhauling many of its parking lots and garages. Amir was also responsible for creating and implementing the successful demand-based parking project “LA Express Park.” Amir holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from California State University Long Beach, and is a registered Professional Engineer.

Zulfiqar Ali, MBA, MSc, MCIHT, JP

Vice President, British Parking Association

Zulfi has served in various positions on the British Parking Association (BPA) for well over five years, initially as a Director and now as a Member of the Council of Representatives.

During this period, he has been Chair of the BPA Eastern of England region, has served on the Model Contract Review Board and is also serving on the Professional Development and Standards Board. During his regional chairmanship, he has led initiatives to bring together both private and public sector organisations with interests in parking. He has keen interest in Smart Parking and has played an active and leading role in UK in parking policies, operational and technological innovations and the impact of effective parking management strategies on traffic, road safety and the environment.

Zulfi currently heads the traffic, parking and highways services for Southend-on Sea Borough Council.  He has worked for various local government authorities for a number of years, previously holding chief officer posts in various London boroughs managing parking and engineering services. He has also held various consultancy assignments advising local authorities.

Zulfi has been a magistrate for 25 years serving on the East London bench. He has also previously been a visiting senior lecturer at the University of East London and a speaker at various national and international conferences on parking.
